By combining creativity, strategic thinking, data, and technology, we deliver experiences that inspire customers and help our partners grow.

About the Role

This is a genuinely international tax role with real ownership. Based in our Amsterdam office and part of a close-knit Group Finance team spanning Amsterdam, Hong Kong and London, you'll take the lead on tax compliance and reporting across our key markets - the Netherlands, UK, US, Canada and South Africa - while helping shape a consistent, high-quality approach for subsidiaries worldwide. You'll be the go-to person who keeps us accurate, on time and in control, and you'll have the scope to modernise how we work by bringing in smart tax technology and AI. If you enjoy solving complex problems, translating tax into plain language for colleagues across the business, and seeing the impact of your work Group-wide, you'll feel right at home here.

What You’ll Do

Lead tax compliance in our core markets (NL, UK, US, Canada, South Africa)

●    Own corporation tax compliance end to end, partnering with local finance teams and advisors to deliver accurate, on-time filings.

●    Run the Group's tax compliance calendar, staying ahead of deadlines and flagging risks early.

●    Manage our transfer pricing model and documentation (Masterfile and Local Files) alongside external advisors.

●    Keep us current on changing tax law, transfer pricing, FX, withholding tax and loss relief - and act on what it means for us.

●    Prepare tax budgets, forecasts and cash tax estimates.

Support our subsidiaries worldwide (Europe, Asia and Pacific)

●    Give tax compliance and reporting oversight to our other Group subsidiaries, helping local teams get it right.

●    Champion one consistent, high-quality approach across every territory, spotting and escalating risks as they arise.

Own tax reporting and accounting

●    Lead annual tax accounting and the tax notes and disclosures in our financial statements, working with finance heads and auditors.

●    Reconcile current and deferred tax positions with a clear audit trail.

●    Maintain our effective tax rate analysis and uncertain tax position documentation.

Handle VAT and employment taxes

●    Manage the Group's European VAT compliance and advise operations on VAT in their day-to-day contracts.

●    Support international payroll, employment tax and global mobility questions as they come up.

Modernise how we work

●    Put tax technology and AI to work to automate and sharpen our compliance and reporting processes.

●    Strip out manual steps, strengthen controls and build the case for smarter tools.

●    Help embed tax into the roll-out of our new group-wide finance system.

Get involved in the bigger picture

●    Bring your tax lens to projects like M&A, restructuring and disposals.

●    Support entity openings and closures, and help shape tax planning opportunities such as cash repatriation.

Job requirements

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves

●    At least five years' experience in an in-house tax role within an international or multi-jurisdiction group, with a strong focus on tax compliance and reporting.

●    A professional tax or accounting qualification (NOB, RB, CTA, RA, ACA, ACCA or an international equivalent).

●    Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

●    The right to work in the EU.

●    Confidence with tax technology and AI tools to make compliance and reporting faster and smarter.

●    A solid tax compliance and tax accounting background, with a track record of accurate filings and financial-statement disclosures delivered on time.

●    A talent for improving tax compliance and reporting processes and controls.

●    Strong organisation and the ability to juggle priorities and meet tight deadlines under pressure.

●    Sharp attention to detail with data and documentation, and confident Excel skills.

●    Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain tax simply to finance and non-finance colleagues across different cultures, plus adaptability and resilience.

●    A proactive, curious mindset with a genuine enjoyment of tax and continuous learning, and a flexible, collaborative, approachable team style.

Nice-to-Haves

●    Experience implementing a new finance system or tax tools, engines or apps.

●    Strong transfer pricing documentation and compliance experience.

●    International VAT compliance experience.

●    Hands-on experience in one or more of our core markets (Netherlands, UK, US, Canada, South Africa), and ideally some customs valuation know-how.

●    Exposure to international tax planning, whether as a lead or part of a project team.

●    A background in retail or marketing.

●    A further language such as Spanish or Italian.

What We Offer

●    Competitive salary and annual bonus.

●    Opportunities for growth and professional development.

●    A dynamic and supportive work environment where your ideas truly matter.

●    Hybrid working model.
