Primary Purpose & Scope: 

At TCC Global, we create innovative loyalty marketing solutions that drive customer engagement and enhance brand loyalty for some of the world’s leading retailers. Our passion drives us to deliver exceptional results, and we are looking for a dynamic Category Manager to join our team. 

Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Product Development: Support the Head of Category in conceptualizing and developing winning product ranges. 

  • Trend Analysis: Collaborate with the Marketing and Communication teams to identify key consumer and market trends. Gather insights from market research and engage in relevant trade shows alongside the Head of Category (HC). 

  • Competitor Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of competitors’ offerings and campaigns at a global level, leveraging insights from local teams. 

  • Category Strategy Development: Collect and analyze relevant data from Supply Chain and GFT teams to provide insights that support the HC in building effective category strategies.  

  • Meeting Coordination: Assist the Head of Category in organizing bi-weekly Operational Team meetings and monthly Category Meetings, as well as in preparing bi-monthly Category Reviews for the Board. 

  • Brand Collaboration: Partner with the Brand Manager to oversee the product approval process, including the arrangement of samples. 

  • Product Design Briefs: Draft product design briefs for major clients, ensuring validation from the HC before submission to the Product Designer. 

  • Product Briefs: Create product briefs detailing recommended line-ups, specifications, and target costs, subject to HC review prior to submission to the Sourcing Manager. 

  • Supplier Engagement: Accompany the HC and Sourcing Manager on visits to factories and suppliers to cultivate relationships and gather innovative product development ideas. 

  • Packaging Development: Independently manage the packaging development process in collaboration with the Creatives Team, Quality and Sustainability teams, including translations, photo shoots, approvals, and sample management. 

  • Cost Analysis: Collaborate with the Sourcing Manager to understand cost structures and conduct purchase price analysis to support the HC's evaluation of final pricing against target costs. 

  • Retail Price Planning: Perform in-depth market analysis to determine tentative Recommended Retail Prices (RRPs) for new product ranges, subject to HC validation. 

  • Product Launch Preparation: Work with Sourcing, Quality, and Sustainability teams to draft the MIP (Product section) for validation by the HC before final submission to the Marketing Team. 

Job requirements

Must Have: 

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development. 

  • A genuine passion for product development. 

  • Strong understanding of the European market, including taste and trends. 

  • Knowledge of kitchen products. 

  • Experience in new product development (NPD) and design. 

  • Proven track record of taking projects from concept to full mass production across various categories.

  • Experience in the loyalty sector.
