About the Job

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Product Designer (Toys) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new and engaging products from concept through to final production.

The ideal candidate will be able to generate original toy and product ideas while also translating written or verbal briefs into clear visual concepts that effectively communicate design direction to others.

 Applicants with previous experience in the toy industry or a related field will be given strong consideration.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept Development: Generate, sketch, and prototype original toy and product ideas.

• Design & Modelling: Create 3D models and detailed design specifications for manufacturing.

• Trend Analysis: Conduct market research to identify consumer preferences, play patterns, and emerging industry trends.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, marketing, and safety teams to ensure products are safe, functional, and commercially viable.

• Prototyping & Testing: Create mock-ups and participate in play testing to refine and improve designs.

• Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously based on business and client needs.

• Packaging Design: Collaborate on or create engaging packaging graphics and structures, where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, Product Design, or a related field, and/or relevant experience in a toy or product design environment.

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or 3D rendering software.

• Excellent communication skills;

• Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Mandarin and/or Cantonese would be an advantage but are not essential.

• Strong interpersonal skills, including integrity, flexibility, initiative, collaboration, and professionalism.

• Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback from colleagues and clients.

• 5+ years of professional experience in the toy industry or a related field is preferred.

• Students and recent graduates in product design may also be considered, provided they can demonstrate a strong portfolio.
